The Winnetka Interfaith Council, comprised of 11 north suburban faith communities, will host its annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine Street, Winnetka. An interfaith choir will lead the congregation in music, and representatives of various faith communities will participate. All are welcome, and families with children are especially encouraged to attend. Child care for the youngest children will be available. Other children will lead the congregation in the Litany of Thanksgiving for Our Faiths. The featured speaker is Dr. Howard Sulkin, President Emeritus of the Parliament of the World’s Religions and the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies. A reception will follow for all. Participants are encouraged to bring food for the New Trier Township Food Pantry. A free will offering will be available and will be divided between the New Trier Angel Fund and the Parliament of the World’s Religions.
